MAINTENANCE-TEAM DEVELOPMENT / PRACTICAL SUPPORT

Practical Workshops
& Knowledge Transfer

Customer-specific Industrial Automation Maintenance & Troubleshooting Workshops that help engineers connect to equipment, trace faults, protect backups and restore compatible replacement units.

BUILT AROUND YOUR PLANT

Practise the Tasks Your Engineers Need at Work

Designed for maintenance engineers with basic electrical and industrial-maintenance knowledge. The equipment mix, depth and exercises are selected around the systems your team actually supports.

Short explanations and demonstrations are followed by participant exercises and controlled fault simulation on dedicated workshop hardware.

CORE WORKSHOP AREAS

From Online Access to Fault Isolation and Recovery

Each engineer practises the relevant procedures, with exercises adapted to participant experience and the available hardware.

01

PLC Diagnostics & Logic Tracing

Establish communication, inspect CPU/module diagnostics and trace inputs through timers, interlocks and permissives to outputs. Use address search and cross-reference to locate the condition preventing operation.

02

Analogue Signals & Machine Feedback

Compare physical signals with PLC values, check scaling and trace speed references. Distinguish field-device, wiring, module, parameter and logic-related faults.

03

Backups, Restoration & Replacement

Create organised program and parameter backups, record hardware/software details and practise restoration to compatible equipment. Use replacement checklists before returning a unit to service.

04

HMI, Remote I/O & Communication

Review operator-interface backups, I/O station diagnostics and relevant industrial-network settings. Practise communication checks for the platforms included in your programme.

05

AC/DC-Drive Troubleshooting

Identify command and reference sources, review fault history, check motor data and trace drive-ready/run/fault signals. Cover parameter backup, replacement compatibility and controlled functional checks.

06

Application at Your Plant

Apply the same diagnostic methods to selected equipment, review available backups and record important maintenance gaps with a practical action list.

PLATFORM COVERAGE

Select the Systems Your Team Maintains

Possible coverage includes Siemens TIA Portal and S7-1200/1500, STEP 7 Classic and S7-300, Allen-Bradley SLC 500, Mitsubishi FX, Omron CP and Delta DVP systems.

Drive topics can include Siemens SINAMICS, MICROMASTER and SIMOREG 6RA70, alongside ABB ACS550, according to the agreed programme and equipment availability.

Practical Materials & Handover

  • Technical reference notes for the covered platforms.
  • Troubleshooting, backup and replacement checklists.
  • Supervised practice using dedicated workshop hardware.
  • Backup-status and maintenance observations from selected site equipment.
  • A participation and topics-covered record on request.

The workshop focuses on maintenance, diagnostics and recovery. Advanced application development and major machine modifications are scoped separately.
